You can’t upgrade yourself the internal flash memory of MagicStick, so you need to decide the right amount for your needs when you order it. You can however expand your storage by using a micro SD card (upto 128 GB). You can also always connect external hard disk through one of the fast USB ports or wireless connection as well. MagicStick produces very less amount of heat than a traditional pc, that is why a fan is not needed. MagicStick is powered by latest Intel 14 nm Cherry Trail processors which runs only on 2 watts of power. Moreover, the material used in MagicStick case dissipates the heat very efficiently. While designing the cover and PCB, aerodynamics had been taken into account so that cool air enters from one end and hot air gets pumped out from the other. The maximum temperature at any point of time inside the inner MagicStick can be close to 65 to 70 degree C which is totally safe for an electronic device. First of all MagicStick is less subject to failures than a normal pc. There are several reasons:

• It has no mechanical parts so no chance of mechanical failure

• It does not reach very high temperature
• It runs on low wattage so less stress on the components

• We provide an hybernation battery that suspends safely the device every time you disconnect the power supply withouth shutting it down first.

Anyway in the rare case that you would experience a crash it is easier to recover the data on s/w failures. You can use the Storage mode of the device. Once you reboot while pressing the Storage button the MagicStick will work as a normal usb pen drive. You can now conenct it to any laptop, tablet, computer or cell phone, by usb cable and it will be detected as a pen drive allowing you to copy and transfer your data very easily.

You can switch between the computer mode and storage mode and vice versa also remotely using MagicStick app from your mobile device.

MagicStick is normally  loaded with a dual boot. You can choose two out of 3 OS: Windows 10 home edition 64 bit (3 months trial edition) and Android Lollipop, or Linux (full list is under update).  MagicStick with Windows 10 full preactivated License is available for $49 extra. We also support  Ubuntu Snappy core edition.

MagicStick is easy to install and operate. Simplicity and accessibility are the core of our product.
